The Pawfect Gift Box, Pet Portrait Gift Card, Mug and Mirror
Product details
Something to unwrap on the day, and a portrait they choose themselves.
Ordered too late for a custom portrait to arrive in time? This is the answer. A proper gift box, packed in our Cambridge studio, with a gift card inside for the pet portrait they get to design themselves.
Inside every box:
- A physical gift card, in the value you choose, for any custom embroidered pet portrait on our site
- A surprise mug, cat or dog, with a design that appears as they drink
- A pet mirror, cat or dog, small enough to live in a handbag
- Pink shredded paper and a kraft rigid gift box with a magnetic lid, ready to give as it is
The gift card arrives in its own kraft envelope, blank inside so you can write your own message. The front reads “Open for the pawfect gift...”.
How it works
The box is posted to you, not to them, so you have it in your hands to give. When they are ready, they redeem the card against any custom portrait on the site and send us their photo. We review every photo before designing, and they get unlimited revisions before anything is stitched. Portraits are made to order in our Cambridge studio, with a lead time of 2 to 3 weeks depending on capacity.
Gift cards are valid for one year from the date of purchase, and can be used alongside discount codes.
Who it is for
Dog people, cat people, and anyone who would rather choose their own portrait than be given one. Over 75,000 pet parents have had a portrait designed from their photo. We stitch dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, hamsters, birds and reptiles, and multi-pet designs are available, so whatever is waiting at home, the card covers it.
Worth knowing
The box itself ships quickly, but the portrait does not. Once the card is redeemed, the usual 2 to 3 week lead time applies. If you need the finished portrait in their hands on the day, order the portrait itself rather than the box.

How it works
In four steps, the face you love, kept forever
Made to order in four simple steps, and nothing is stitched until you say yes.
Upload your photo
One clear, well-lit snap of your pet is all we need to start.
We design your portrait
Designed from your photo: the markings, the expression, the look in their eyes that is theirs alone.
You approve it
We email your proof. Nothing is stitched until you are 100% happy, unlimited edits.
It arrives
Made in Cambridge and sent to your door, ready for the moment you unwrap their face.
Before you ask
Every question, answered
And if your finished portrait doesn't match the proof you approved, we'll remake it free. That's our Happiness Guarantee.
Can I use a photo from my phone?
Absolutely. A clear, well-lit phone snap is perfect. Front-on, with their face in focus and good light, gives our artists the most to work with.
Can I have two or more pets on one?
Yes. Choose the number of pets in the designer and upload a photo of each, and we'll stitch them together on the same piece.
What if my photo isn't good enough?
Send your best and we'll take a look. If we need a clearer shot we'll simply ask, and you'll always see a proof before anything is stitched, so there are no surprises.
Will it actually look like my pet?
Yes. We design their portrait from your photo, the markings, colours and the look in their eyes, and send you a proof. Nothing is stitched until you're 100% happy, with unlimited edits.
Can I edit my order after placing it?
Of course. At the proof stage you can request unlimited changes until it's exactly right. Need to change something else? Just message us and we'll help.
Can I order if my pet has passed away?
Yes, and it's one of the most meaningful things we make. Many customers order to keep a beloved pet close. We'll treat your photo and your portrait with all the care it deserves.
Can I return a personalised item?
Because each piece is made just for you, personalised items aren't returnable for a change of mind. You can cancel free before we send your proof, and if the finished portrait doesn't match the proof you approved, our Happiness Guarantee means we remake it free. This doesn't affect your legal rights if an item is faulty or not as described.
How long does worldwide delivery take?
Your piece is made to order. Right now, from the day you order to the day it arrives is 2 to 3 weeks, including your proof and any edits, or sooner with Fast Track. Lead times will be longer after we appear on Dragons' Den on 24 September, so your estimated delivery date at checkout is the one to plan around. We ship worldwide, and duties and taxes are included on every international delivery option, so there's nothing to pay on arrival.
