About Us

All your orders are made by our small team in our Cambridge studio, supervised by our dachshund, Lola. 

Lucy hand draws every single one of your pet portraits from your photos, making sure she gets every detail just right. Every design is co created with you so you get to make as many tweaks as you like before anything gets made! 

Once you've approved your design we turn each pet portrait into it's own unique thread pattern which can be read by our embroidery machines. 

We then hand pick every thread used in your design, making sure it perfectly brings to life your pet's face and personality! 

How did it all begin? 

During the first UK lockdown in March 2020, I decided to get myself an iPad and learn how to draw in my spare time with the pipedream of becoming a digital pet portrait artist.

2 years later, with help from my daschund Lola, The Lucy and Lola Shop has more than 600 five star reviews and has shipped over 4000 orders of my custom pet portrait embroidery items to customers all over the world!
